Founded in 2001, Juego began as a small badminton store owned by passionate badminton enthusiasts. Originally named Racquets and More, the shop started in a modest 15-square-meter space in Quezon City, aiming to serve the growing badminton market by offering high-quality badminton gear and apparel. Over the years, it has grown into a trusted name in the sport, recognized for its commitment to the badminton community, exceptional customer service, and wide selection of top brands.
Humble Beginnings:
The journey of Juego began with a simple mission: to create a space where every badminton enthusiast—regardless of skill level or experience—could find the right equipment to achieve their badminton goals. Founders Norman Lozendo and Daniel Rupinta Jr. understood that to accomplish this, they needed to partner with Yonex, the world’s top badminton brand, and become an official dealer. After successfully securing this partnership, they, along with fellow badminton enthusiasts, pooled their savings to open their first store, offering the most extensive selection of Yonex badminton products in the Philippines.
Through hard work, personalized service, and a strong commitment to understanding their customers' needs, Racquets and More steadily built its clientele. Word of mouth became their most powerful form of advertising, as the local badminton aficionados recognized the store's dedication to the sport and the community.
Growth and Expansion:
As the badminton community expanded, so did the store. Over time, it evolved from its original name, "Racquets and More," to "Juego," meaning "game" in Spanish. With the addition of fellow badminton enthusiast Sherwin Oranga to the founding team, Juego broadened its offerings to include global badminton brands like Li-Ning and Hundred, while also expanding into other sports categories. It has since established specialized badminton concept stores, like stand-alone Yonex and Li-Ning shops. Today, Juego proudly operates in multiple mall locations across the country. As it embarks on a new mission to serve pickleball enthusiasts, Juego remains committed to its core values of quality, community involvement, and personalized customer service.
Community Involvement:
Juego prides itself on its involvement with local badminton and pickleball clubs and academies. The company believes in giving back to the community by participating in local tournaments and clinics to encourage a healthy lifestyle, foster sportsmanship and enhance athletic skills.
